About me

I'm James 👋

I've been working online for around 10+ years. - It wasn't always this good though...

I left school with no GCSE's, not really knowing where to go and what to do in life.

My first job was a picker/packer in a warehouse, wasn't too bad but I wasn't a fan of early mornings, so instead of 6am til 2pm, I was on the 2pm til 10pm shift, Monday to Friday, £200 a week after tax. Crazy when you look back!

I then met a nice old man who gave me a job as a labourer for his block paving driveway business, £300 a week after tax, a £100 increase on the warehouse job, but it turns out I was still was not a fan of the early mornings. After a while he decided to move away, so that job came to an end. I didn't like the early mornings anyways!

A family member of mine is a scaffolder and it turns out he needed to get to work, I wasn't intersted in becoming a scaffolder but found myself at a loose end wanting some money, so I become a driver for him and his labourer, £100 a day, Monday-Friday, £400 a week after tax, winning!

Actually I wasn't winning, after 3 months of bruised shoulders, carrying 5, 5ft tubes on your shoulders up flights of stairs and flicking 21ft tubes in the air pointlessly to show scaffolders you can, I decided I'd do my HGV training and become a lorry driver. Sitting in a warm lorry with heating, listening to the radio sounded like heaven compared to a cold morning handling icey scaffolding tubes!

After living at home and saving up and paying for hgv driver training, it was great to pass and drive a lorry around, it turns out you start on £500 a week, so I felt like I'd come a long way from that warehouse job. I then worked my way to £1,000 a week after tax, however the lorry soon become your work and home, it was not for me after a while!

However, after going through these range of jobs, I realised one thing, actually probably four or five things...

I know what your thinking... What did I do to start this lifestyle that I have now? - Don't worry, I'll get to that.
